| I'll also be workin' with the "New West" band on Friday February 19th starting at 9:00 pm. We have a "Fantastic Opportunity" to back Leona and Ron Williams at the VFW Post 3907. Tickets will be available at Baskins and Cavenders in Palestine and at Rusty s Inspections in Tyler. Tickets will be $10.00 reserved or $15.00 at the door. This will be a great night for any real country music fan. Come on out and join us. |

We had a great time last night with Leona and Ron Williams! New West consisted of Keith Campbell on drums, Royce Hanson on steel, Dennis Milligan on bass, myself and special guest Mickey G. on guitar and vocals. We had another treat as Ms. Leona brought along Jade Jack, a fourteen year old young lady that that plays great fiddle and sings great too. Keep a lookout for Jade as she is a very special young talent and young lady. Another special guest to the show was Ms. Dottie Jack, Jade's aunt that did a great job on a song with us. We opened then Ron came on stage and "it was on". If you've never heard Ron Williams live, don't ever pass up another opportunity. Such a great voice and as I said in my introduction, a real country singer's singer. He was great! As great as the night had been to that point, it only got better when Ms. Leona Williams took the stage. Probably the finest singer and entertainer I've ever had to privilege to work with. So easy to work with and without a "Fake" bone in her body. She played just a portion of the great hits that she's written and recorded and just awed everyone in the house including the band. This was truly one of the best nights I've ever spent pickin'. There was a modest, yet very appreciative crowd on hand and we're very excited to be playin' there again next Saturday night. There seemed to already be an buzz in the air about our return next week. The only sad part is, there won't be Leona and her son Ron Williams there to share it with us again.
On a separate "note", we learned this week that Cody Lynn would no longer be playin' with us. As sad as it is for me that he's not goin' to be workin' with us, I'm even more excited for his reasons why. Good luck to you Cody and God Bless. Sure gonna miss you! |

| Had a ball with New West on March 13th. We had David Fox working keyboard and singing with us and it was just great. David is such a great pro! We'd look up and much to our surprise, it would be break time. Hope we get to do it again soon. David and Dennis Milligan played together years ago in the original Texas Renegade band. We'll be back on April 10th. Hope to see you there. |

| I know, it's sounds too good to be true, be we did have a great time again at the VF & W. Lot's of family and friends on hand and (in my opinion) lot's of good music. I know the band had a blast! We'll be back there on June 12th. Make your plans now!!!! |

Well, we had a blast again in Palestine on Saturday night. Modest numbers but a very good crowd. The band stand was again a very fun place to be. And on top of all of that, I think the music was good too!
Next month, we move to the 1st Saturday of the month which is July 3rd. Y'all come on out and bring somebody with you. |

Just a reminder, I'll be at the Palestine VFW tomorrow night at 8:00 pm with "New West". Really lookin' foward to it. We'll have Jay Lowe playin' lead guitar and Johnny Cox on steel. We bid a FOND farewell to Royce Hanson last Saturday in Whitehouse. Royce had to leave the band for personal reasons. We certainly wish him and his wife Linda the best of all things. It was a joy to get to work with Royce as long as we did. Look forward to seein' everybody tomorrow night. |
